Heritage Park, Calgary, is a great place for a date day or night. You can pack your own picnic and have it in many places in the park. Or, you can dine at the Selkirk Grille or any other little café, or nooks to eat. Brunch at the Wainwright Hotel is really romantic also. Ride the steam train and be sure to take in the best ride of the park – a trip on the S.S. Moyie around the Glenmore Reservoir. This is us re-creating the scene from the movie, “Titanic” while the other passengers were singing “My Heart will go on!”
What a great place for a picnic without the ants. There are cute little tables and if you bring your own tablecloth, it is just like sitting in a restaurant without the cost. During Stampede it is unbelievably quiet as everyone is down at Nashville North and the weather is perfect. After dinner, you can drop by any number of pubs or bars within walking distance.
